Estreno en el Festival Via –Mons (Bélgica) / Maubeuge (Francia)–, Marzo del 2010

Pascal Keiser de Le manège vio Domini Públic y nos invitó a desarrollar un nuevo proyecto. En lugar de eso le pedimos seguir desarrollando Domini Públic para representarlo sin necesidad de viajar al lugar que nos contrataba: Domini Públic, control remot. Viajar tiene algo contradictorio, por un lado es una demostración de poder pero por otro es tan aburrido! Así que queríamos “tirar” la función desde casa mientras el público está en cualquier otra parte participando del show.

Para ello sólo necesitamos una conexión a internet (eso es fácil) lo difícil es controlar los “delay” de imagen y sonido, y que éstos sean estables y sincrónicos. A ver si entre la gente de Le Manège, el IBBT de Gante y Hangar en Barcelona encontramos la manera.

After seeing Domini Públic (Public Domain), Pascal Keiser at Le manège invited us to produce a new project, but we suggested instead to keep developing Domini Públic so that we could stage it without having to travel to the place Keiser offered: Domini Públic, control remot (Public Domain, remote control). There’s something contradictory about traveling; on the one hand, it’s a demonstration of power, but on the other hand, it’s so boring! So we wanted to “throw” the show from home as the audience participates from anywhere else.

We only need an Internet connection (that’s easy); the tricky part is to control the video signal delay to keep it in synch. Let’s see if among the people at Le Manège, Gante’s IBBT and Hangar in Barcelona we’ll find the way to accomplish this
